randomizer (cards, shuffle each time; spinner; dice; etc.)

start a normal conversation. one player speaks at a time. player finishes one sentence / thought, then randomizes:

ELABORATE: continue thought as before, going deeper.

INTERROGATE: ask other player question about current topic. they respond with one sentence / thought. play passes to them.

RELATE: other player shares similar thought / feeling. play passes to them.

CONTEMPLATE: reflect on personal opinion / feelings on topic, then return to topic.

RETALIATE: other player shares dissonant thought / feeling. play passes to them.

ASSOCIATE: connect current topic to new topic. one sentence / thought with new topic.
