PRESCRIPTIVISM, or LEXICO
2 – 3 actors
gamemaster

begin typical improv scene. at any point, gamemaster can stop action (bell, clap, etc.) and declare that one word now means another. the actors must remember to use the new word in place of the old one (and keep a straight face). old words should have been used in scene. try not to avoid using new word, talking. exchange 3-5 words this way. time 6 minutes.

e.g. in scene about dogs at dog park, the word “dog” is now “fwap” and “poop” is now “megadoodoo”. actors now discuss picking up their fwap’s megadoodoo.
